Jason Yenter of In the Beginnings Fabrics has hit another one out of the park with this beautiful fabric line. Do you remember his wonderful take on dragons? Well, this time, he has turned his talents to mystical unicorns.

There are two gorgeous fabric panels – a Unicorn mom and baby, and one with six different unicorns. They are digitally printed, creating so much depth, you can see all the different strands of hair in the manes!

Can’t decide between the panels? No problem! There is a beautiful quilt kit that incorporates both of them AND the stunning border fabric. The quilt finishes to 77-1/2″ x 93-1/2″ and as usual, our kits include the pattern and all fabric for the top and the binding. Why not the backing? Because quilters often have fabric in their stash that they want to use. But we have lots of backing you can choose from Wide Backings

For quilters and makers who aren’t keen on unicorns, this fabric line has seven…count them, SEVEN…beautiful blender fabrics that would work in so many other projects. Two of our favourites are the one with a marbled effect and the one with a galaxy of stars feeling to it.

Who is the talent behind this collection? The fabric business is in Jason’s blood. His mother started In The Beginning Fabrics in 1996 and he worked there on weekends while in school. He is now company president as well as an incredible textile designer. He started quilting in high school but no longer has much time to do any sewing. His love and focus is designing fabric, often getting his colour combining inspiration from nature. Computer design makes experimenting with colours and layouts so much easier, and the digital printing now possible with fabric ensures they truly capture his original designs. We can’t wait to see what he comes up with next!

In the meantime, check out his Unicorns collection here.
