We launched this fabric line at our Thursday Sew Down on Facebook Live on St Patrick’s Day…how cool is that! Both Quilters and Makers will enjoy these fabrics, whether you’re Irish or not! … oh and all Lovers of Things Green!

Designed by Patrick Lose for Northcott, Patrick Lose is known for his love of playful novelty designs and fresh colours. He is an artist, a fabric designer, an author and a magazine editor and also hosting quilting cruises. Not sure what he does in his spare time!

I think my favourites are the two with shamrocks (although AJ persists in calling them clover…sheesh!). One of them even has a gold metallic element to it  Love when they take a 100% cotton fabric and just add that touch of bling to the look.

The really nice thing about this fabric line is some of the fabrics are not “Irish” specific. Love the stripe…it has dots! What a great bias binding that would make. And I don’t know what it is I love about a harlequin print but there’s something that just draws my eye. This fabric would make such a fun set of Pot Holders, wouldn’t it?!

Both the Festive Dots and Threads have a gold metallic element as well. Does Threads remind anyone else of the game Pick Up Sticks? These two fabrics are so fresh and crisp.

And the final two in the collection are also Irish-neutral (is that a thing?). The one on the right is called Lilly’s Linen and it really does have that linen look. A great blender for your stash and a great accent for that set of Pot Holders.

And we have the perfect place mat pattern for this line! Take four fat quarters and make a set of four different place mats. And what is this pattern called, you ask? Well, it’s called Take Four Place Mat Set , of course!

The whole line…including a Fat Quarter bundle…is only a click away…  Love ‘O The Irish
